The classic taste of pecan pie gets a makeover in these gluten-free pecan squares.

  • 1 cup (120 g) gluten free all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup Swerve Confectioner’s or powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup packed Swerve, brown or brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup butter

  2. Whisk together flour and Swerve Confectioner’s; add in butter and egg. Blend until mixture resembles coarse meal. Pat mixture firmly into bottom of pan.
  3. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Let cool.
  4. Combine Swerve brown, honey, remaining butter, and half-and-half in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in pecans, and pour hot filling over crust.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
