I discovered this truly amazing quick-and-easy way to cook microwave salmon via the seafood department at my local Publix. It was detailed on their on-package instructions with some fresh salmon I bought there a few years ago.
I was so skeptical the first time I tried it. But friends… I promise — microwave salmon is a game-changer. You’ll be amazed the first time you try it.
It turns out moist, not overcooked, and just the right amount of flakiness… and in just 3 minutes!!
Seriously… I may never cook fish in the oven again. Microwave salmon is just too easy not to love.

- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons honey
- Place salmon in a small microwave-safe dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl; spoon over salmon.
- Cover and cook on MEDIUM (50%) power in microwave 2 to 3 minutes, in 1-minute intervals or until cooked to desired degree of doneness.
